Dinamic Communications - Public Relations Consulting
Dianne Murphy, APR, learned her trade of communication growing up in a busy Navy family. Communication was a key part of her youth as she learned to explore new locations and friendships with great energy, before moving on to a new location every few years. Her resourceful nature was honed during each of the new deployments where she quickly absorbed the best parts of her new habitat before heading off to a new adventure.
Settling in Northern Virginia during her college years, she enriched those skills earning a degree in communications from George Mason University.
During this time, she supplemented her college experience by working in the restaurant industry as a server, trainer as well as opening team member. She was definitely bit by the restaurant/hospitality bug.
Moving into the work world she was lucky enough to have some of the best mentors in the association world. She learned to be resourceful, and curious, creative and thorough. She learned to be connected to her audiences and to tell the stories of her colleague's successes and missions.
Early in her career she was given the opportunity that married her love of food and hospitality and set her on a career path she is passionate about today.
In early 1990, she served as the Director of Public Relations for the Hyatt Regency Reston at Reston Town Center. A groundbreaking development; she cut her teeth in the hospitality world working with many visionary leaders in the hotel industry.
After many successful campaigns, collaborative events and award winning opportunities she moved to another wonderful property, Lansdowne Resort. During her tenure as Director of Public Relations, national stories were achieved, massive events were created and the property was propelled into national awareness.
Her next adventure took her to the rolling hills of Middleburg Virginia where she was part of another 4-diamond story with the opening of Salamander Resort and Spa. With the small agency experience, she was able to work with luxury brands, national associations, events, small businesses and continued to hone her storytelling abilities.
Today she is pleased to offer her public relations consulting services based on more than 25 years of collective experience in the hotel, restaurant, small business and special event arena.
